Salary Range
- $61,000 – $84,000/ year in the United States
Education & Timeframe
- Start Your Journey: Associate Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field Duration: ~2 years
- Advance Your Expertise: Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field Duration: ~2 years (if continuing from an associate degree)
- Gain Specialized Knowledge: Obtain relevant certifications such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Associate Emergency Manager (AEM), or other specialized training in emergency response and disaster management
- Gain Experience: Internships or work experience in emergency management agencies, government organizations, or non-profit disaster relief organizations. Stay current with emergency response techniques, crisis management practices, and relevant research.

Scholarship Opportunities
- The Nevada Health Equity & Loan Assistance (HEAL) Program was launched by the Nevada Treasury in 2025 to reward healthcare providers who choose to practice in Nevada. The Nevada HEAL Program provides student loan repayment up to $120,000 to providers who commit to at least 5 years of clinical practice in an eligible Nevada community.
