A doula is trained to support people of childbearing capacity physically, emotionally, and informatively during and after they’ve had a baby. This field provides opportunity for labor or postpartum doulas, infant feeding educators, lactation consultants, childbirth educators, and other positions in advocacy and leadership. Doula is a great career choice for those interested in maternal and child health and making a difference in expectant parents’ lives.

Salary Range


  • $39,000 – $66,000/year

Education


  • 4 hrs. of NCB approved training in Trauma Informed Care
  • 6 hrs. of NCB approved training in cultural competency/humility
  • 1 hr. of NCB approved training in HIPAA
  • NCB approved foundational birth doula training.
    • 15 trainings listed: Foundational Training – Nevada Certification Board
